Labiaplasty is a procedure that reduces the size of the labia minora, the flaps of skin on either side of the vaginal opening. Enlarged or asymmetric labia minora can cause discomfort during sexual intercourse or exercise and may contribute to embarrassment when wearing tight clothing, including a bathing suit.
Candidates for labiaplasty are women over the age of 18 who are self conscious about their enlarged labia; have issues with discomfort during sexual intercourse or exercise; may be embarrassed when wearing tight clothing.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and Dr Mirmanesh will remove the excess tissue by strategically placing the incisions in a way that results in a well hidden scar, and a natural appearing labial region.
